In a large official presence, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, participated in the ceremonies of the launch of the work and activities of the annual Iraqi banking conference, which was held today, Saturday, 21/10/2023, in Erbil Governorate, and in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Mr. Masrour Barzani, and the Governor of the Central Bank. The Iraqi Mr. Ali Al-Alaq, in addition to the participation of a number of officials in the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, and managers of banks in Iraq and the Arab countries, businessmen, and investors. His Sovereignty pointed out in a press statement the importance of the continuation of banks to support economic and development projects and raise the level of quality of banking services provided to citizens, stressing that cooperation and coordination between the Central Bank of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region will enhance the partnership and support efforts to achieve development—economic and financial stability throughout the country.
