Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah, blesses our Iraqi people for the victory of our Olympic football team and crowning them as champions of the West Asian Cup.

In a congratulatory statement issued by him this evening, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, congratulated our Iraqi people and the sports fans on the occasion of the Olympic football team’s victory over its Iranian counterpart in a penalty shootout (5-4) and crowning it as the champion of the U-23 West Asian Cup years, in the final match at Al-Madina International Stadium in Baghdad, and His Sovereignty appreciated the efforts of the players and the coaching staff and the work of the organizing committee for this tournament and the most prominent sporting event.
