In a congratulatory statement issued this evening, Thursday 31/10/2024, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Dr. Shakhawan Abdullah Ahmed proudly congratulated Mr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani on the occasion of his election as Speaker of the Council of Representatives and gaining the confidence of the ladies and gentlemen representatives in today’s session. His sovereignty stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and efforts between the committees and political blocs to proceed with work and pass important laws and for the legislative institution to carry out its national tasks and responsibilities in monitoring and legislating laws and providing services to citizens and enhancing stability in the country.
