Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhawan Abdullah, calls on all voters in the Kurdistan Region to participate widely in the elections to enhance democratic values and protect constitutional gains.

Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhawan Abdullah Ahmed, called on all voters in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to participate widely in the Kurdistan Parliament elections and exercise their constitutional right to cast their votes to express their will freely. His Sovereignty also appreciated the efforts of the Independent High Electoral Commission and called for the necessity of continuing to work and holding elections with transparency and high professionalism based on international standards and relevant laws to achieve the satisfaction of citizens in the region.

The Deputy Speaker pointed out that *”The eyes of the world will be directed towards the region on Sunday 10/20, so we hope that our people in Kurdistan will head to the ballot boxes and choose your representatives at this important stage to achieve the desired hopes and goals, and in order to enhance democratic values, protect constitutional gains and consolidate the foundations of freedoms.”*.
