Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhawan Abdullah, receives a delegation of imams of mosques and preachers of the Sunni Endowment in Kirkuk, and stresses the importance of their role in guiding society and enhancing stability

The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhawan Abdullah Ahmed, received in his official office in Baghdad a delegation of imams of mosques and preachers of the Sunni Endowment in Kirkuk Governorate, which included: (Dr. Gilan Muhammad Talabani, Sheikh Biston Aziz, Sheikh Tawfiq Abdul Karim, Mr. Karmanj Amin), the meeting was attended by a number of representatives. At the beginning, topics related to the general situation in Kirkuk were discussed, as well as the reality of the city from a security and service perspective. His Sovereignty stressed the importance of the role of preachers of mosques and religious platforms in guiding society, renewing confidence and reassurance in people’s souls, and enhancing stability and civil peace.
