Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhawan Abdullah, condemns the terrorist attack on the Al-Musalla area in Kirkuk, and calls on the security authorities to conduct an urgent investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice

In a statement issued today, Saturday 5/10/2024, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhawan Abdullah Ahmed, strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Al-Musalla area in the center of Kirkuk Governorate and the targeting of the head of the Turkmen House headquarters, Mr. Saygin Hajar Oglu, and the injury of a number of citizens. His Sovereigny denounced this sinful attack against the components of the governorate with the aim of destabilizing security and societal peace.

– The Deputy Speaker called on the security authorities and the governorate administration to conduct an urgent investigation and uncover the parties behind the attack, and to pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice so that they receive their just punishment in accordance with the law. He called on the political parties to continue cooperation and make more efforts to maintain security and enhance stability in Kirkuk. His Sovereignty expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded.
