Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah, arrives in New York to participate in the parliamentary hearing that will be held at the United Nations Headquarters.

In response to the official invitation sent to the Presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives by the President of the United Nations General Assembly and the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, arrived in New York on Tuesday evening, USA time, to participate in the parliamentary hearing session of the heads of the world’s parliaments on (Requirements for a Peaceful Future), , which will be held at the United Nations headquarters on February 8-9, 2024, His Sovereignty was received by the Charge d’Affaires of the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations in New York, Dr. Abbas Kazem Obaid.
