Al-Halboosi receives the Saudi Foreign Minister
The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi received, on Thursday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, and his accompanying delegation.
They discussed relations between the two brotherly countries and enhancing means of cooperation in the field of economy, investment and joint coordination on regional and international issues.
During the meeting, al-Halboosi stressed the importance of activating the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council and the joint committees between the two countries, noting that the Parliament supports the Iraqi government and the bilateral cooperation agreement by overcoming all legislative obstacles that contribute to achieving tangible results for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
Prince Faisal affirmed that his country’s leadership supports the strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation in all fields, including the field of investment in order to build a sustainable economy, and that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to achieve cooperation and integration with Iraq, which is a source of stability in the region.
