The Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives discusses with the President of the Federal Service Council the legislative impact in achieving equal job opportunities, and expanding the inclusion of graduates of Kurdistan Region universities in the federal public service.

The Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, received in his official office in Baghdad today, Tuesday 17/1/2023, the Head of the Federal Service Council, Mr. Mahmood Al-Tamimi, and the meeting was attended by Deputy Dr. Nahla Al-Afandi, a member of the Parliamentary Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee, and the council’s advisor for integrity and anti-corruption affairs, Mr. Aram Sabah, and ways to enhance cooperation between the legislative institution and the service council to develop performance and work mechanisms were discussed, especially since the legislative impact has a major role in achieving equal job opportunities in the decisions and laws in force, in addition to the importance of developing human resources in Public service and the adoption of justice, equality and efficiency.

 

The Deputy Speaker stressed the continued support of the Council of Representatives for the Federal Service Council and the provision of financial allocations in the Federal Budget Law for the year 2023, It is an active institution that seeks to regulate the affairs of the public job, and His Sovereignty called for expanding the inclusion of the firsts and holders of higher degrees for graduates of the universities of the Kurdistan Region in the federal public service, just like their peers in the rest of the governorates of Iraq.
