Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah, strongly condemns the terrorist attack by ISIS on a military barracks of the Iraqi army in Kirkuk, and demands the redeployment of the joint forces to hold the ground and address the security vacuum

In a statement issued by him, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, today, Saturday 19/11/2022, strongly condemned the ISIS terrorist attack that targeted a military barracks of the Iraqi army in the Jimen area near Qara Hanjir district, north of Kirkuk Governorate, It led to the martyrdom of 4 soldiers, while his Sovereignty referred to the government’s failure to manage the security file in Kirkuk. He demanded the redeployment of the joint forces in the soft areas to hold the land and the need to address the security vacuum, and to review the assessment of security measures to prevent continuous violations and establish the pillars of stability throughout the governorate.
