Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah: We support the positive trends of young people, and we seek to empower these emerging energies and movements and involve them in the political process 

Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, stressed the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between state institutions and voluntary civil organizations working in the field of human rights and democratic construction, especially the young generation and benefiting from their capabilities in order to develop societies and achieve stability, His Sovereignty’s speech came during his reception this evening at his residence in Baghdad, a group of young people of the “Iraqi House” movement, they were headed by the Secretary-General of the movement (Mohi Al-Ansari), during the meeting, the general situation of the country, the size of the security and political challenges, the work of Parliament in this difficult stage and the election law were discussed. In the context of his speech, Abdullah reiterated his solidarity with the youth elites by saying, “We support the positive trends of young people, and we seek to empower these emerging energies and movements and involve them in the political process, he added that youth have an important role in strengthening the democratic experience, fighting corruption, implementing reforms, achieving equality and protecting rights and freedoms.
