‏Al-Halboosi attends a meeting to find out a plan to open the “Khasfa” cemetery

 

‏On Saturday, the Speaker of Parliament Mohammed al-Halboosi attended a meeting held by the Committee of Martyrs, Victims and Political Prisoners with the Department for the Protection of Mass Graves Affairs at the Martyrs Foundation to find an action plan to open (Al-Khasfa) cemetery in Ninawa Governorate, with the participation of the concerned authorities, represented by the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Defense – the Directorate of Military Engineering, and the Ministry of Health, the Supreme Judicial Council, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Committee for Missing Persons, the High Commission for Human Rights, and the international investigation team for ISIS crimes.

‏During the meeting, a detailed explanation was provided by the concerned authorities about the logistical and technical aspects and the steps through which they can practically begin to open the cemetery and the most important obstacles that stand in the way of their work in this file.

‏His Excellency directed the relevant authorities to submit their requests and needs within a week, so that the actual opening of this large cemetery will then be carried out, and the Martyrs and Victims Committee will be responsible for following up and monitoring this file and for full coordination with government agencies and international bodies concerned with this great humanitarian file..in respecting for the blood of the martyrs and putting an end to the suffering of their parents.
