Al-Halboosi receives US Senator Lindsey Graham
The Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi received on Monday the US Senator Lindsey Graham and his accompanying delegation.
They discussed strengthening bilateral relations and ways to develop them in the economic, cultural, and educational fields, and security cooperation through supporting the Iraqi forces in facing the challenges of terrorism, as well as discussing the issue of displaced women and children and the humanitarian situation in al-Hol camp.
The meeting also discussed developments in the regional situation and Iraq’s growing role to achieve security and stability in the region, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
In turn, Senator Lindsey Graham affirmed his country’s commitment to support Iraq in all fields in order to achieve its security and stability, pointing to the importance of Iraq’s active role in easing tensions in the region.
