The Parliamentary Development Institute PDI concludes the workshop on the methodology of measuring the impact of legislation

 

On Thursday 9/6/2022, the Parliamentary Development Institute, in cooperation with the Public Aid Organization PAO, concluded a workshop on the role of the methodology for measuring the impact of legislation in enhancing, efficiency and effectiveness of legislation.

The workshop opened its work at Al-Mansour Hotel in Baghdad on Wednesday, with the participation of the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Departments, and lasted for two days. During them, a presentation was made by Mr. Nazim Ahmed Ali, Director of the Democracy Promotion Program, on the role and tasks of the Public Aid Organization PAO and an overview of the implemented project.
Mr. Adnan Abdel Hussein, Director of the Legislation Impact Measurement Department in the Parliamentary Legislation Department, presented a topic on the theoretical aspect of the methodology of measuring the impact of legislation.

The workshop witnessed a theoretical aspect related to an opinion poll, which was carried out by Dr. Amjad Hamed, Director of the Technical Support and Advisory Coordination Department in the Parliamentary Legislation Department.

Dr. Saad Hussein Fathallah, adviser to the Democracy Promotion Program in the Public Aid Organization PAO , touched on ways to enhance effective participation in decision-making.

On the second day, a parliamentary experience was presented with a practical application presented by Mr. Ali Omar, Director of the Development and Training Department at the Parliamentary Development Institute PDI .
The second axis of Dr. Amjad Hamed, Director of the Technical Support and Advisory Coordination Department in the Parliamentary Legislation Department focused on opinion polls on the practical side.

Then, Messrs. Saad Fayyad, Director General of the Parliamentary Development Institute PDI , and Mr. Muhammad Qassem, Director General of the Parliamentary Legislation Department, presented certificates of appreciation to the participants and lecturers.
