Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah on the anniversary of the uprising of the people of Kurdistan on March 5, 1991: The messages of the Kurdish people are rooted in the promotion of democracy and the values ​​of love and peace in Iraq and the world  

On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the uprising of the people of Kurdistan and the mass movement with the Peshmerga, which was launched on March 5, 1991 in the district of Rania in the Sulaymaniyah governorate, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, stressed the importance of recalling the feats and the valuable meanings of the liberation movement of the Kurdish people, Confronting dictatorial regimes, struggling for freedom and democracy, getting rid of injustice and tyranny, and the desire for liberation.

Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament stated in this issued statement, “The messages of the Kurdish people are rooted in promoting democracy and the values ​​of love and peace in Iraq and the world, With it, we remember the popular uprising of our people in the south, who wrote the most wonderful epics of heroism and courage against the former regime. His Sovereignty indicated that the March uprising was an eloquent lesson in dealing with the soldiers of the former regime and releasing them and offering the option of remaining in Kurdistan or returning to their honorable families.
