Al-Halboosi receives the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament

The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi and the accompanying delegation received on Thursday the Jordanian Parliament Speaker Abdul Karim al-Daghmi, on the sidelines of the 32nd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.

At the beginning of the meeting, al-Daghmi congratulated His Excellency on the occasion of his re-election as Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in its fifth period, wishing him success in his duties, and good luck to the Iraqi people.

The meeting discussed relations between the two brotherly countries and the strengthening of cooperation in all fields, including economic, trade and investment in accordance with common interests, as well as activating tripartite cooperation (Iraq – Jordan – Egypt), where His Excellency extended an official invitation to al-Daghmi to visit Baghdad.

For his part, Mr. al-Daghmi affirmed his country’s support for Iraq and the desire to strengthen cooperation in all fields, wishing to complete the constitutional steps in choosing a president for the republic and forming an Iraqi government that meets the people’s requirements to achieve development and stability.
