Al-Halboosi meets with the Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament

The Parliament’s Speaker Mohammed al-Halboosi and the accompanying delegation met on Thursday the Egyptian Parliament Speaker Hanafi al-Jabali, on the sidelines of the 32nd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.

At the beginning of the meeting, Counselor al-Jabali congratulated His Excellency on his re-election as Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament in its fifth period, wishing him success in his duties.

The meeting discussed relations between the two brotherly countries, strengthening cooperation in all fields and activating tripartite cooperation (Iraq – Egypt – Jordan), where His Excellency stressed the keenness of the Iraqi Parliament to continue cooperation, coordination and strategic integration at the bilateral and tripartite levels, offering an official invitation to him to visit Baghdad.

For his part, Counselor al-Jabali affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen and develop its relations with Iraq towards broader horizons within the framework of the unity of destiny and challenges, and in response to the common interests of the two brotherly countries.
